Description: Introduction to Powerskating Introduction to Powerskating Age: 6 - 9 years old Class length: 1 hour *Prerequisite: Players must be able to skate the length of the ice, forwards and backwards, and be able to do a hockey stop both directions. We highly recommend that skaters have completed Level 3 in the Learn-to-Skate program. Participants who are new to skating are recommended to start in our Basic Skating Class. This class is not for individuals new to skating. This Introduction to Powerskating is designed to begin refining the skating techniques of both hockey and ringette players. The focus of this program is to begin to develop these Powerskating skills at a basic level, with strong repetition and error detection and correction. Instructors will use skill-building and progressive programming to teach players, in full equipment, the skating skills needed to enjoy the game! This introductory program is run by Crestwood Skating Club and is not affiliated with Quantum Speed’s Advanced Powerskating program. Equipment Requirement:** Please be advised that all students are REQUIRED to wear full hockey or ringette equipment including stick.
